Fiber Mountain Manufacturing Test Engineers are skilled and talented professionals, who work closely with the Quality Assurance Engineers to assist in development and maintenance of test solutions. Manufacturing Test Engineers are actively involved in testing engineering assignments of all new and current products to maintain and troubleshoot products designed for our customersYou will enjoy being part of an extremely talented, motivated team interacting with both business and development counterparts to capture key marketing requirements and translate them to products designed for our customers.   

The ideal Fiber Mountain Manufacturing Test Engineer will have experience testing complex “enterprise grade” mission-critical automated systems for our data center and cloud customers. They will have a high customer and product delivery orientation, with the ability to both understand the “big picture” issues AND to drill down to detail. 

  • Conduct test engineering assignments on new and current Fiber Mountain’s products. 
  • Assist in the development, modification and execution of test methods and procedures that are delivered to Fiber Mountain’s contract manufacturers. 
  • Support manufacturing operations with root cause analysis on defective products or components. 
  • Assist with the creation of manufacturing methods to meet design goals on new or enhanced products. 
  • Set up routine maintenance schedules and suggest periodic upgrades of test equipment and fixtures. 
  • Assist in defining test strategies, analyse new product testability and deliver test solutions. 
  • Introduce test processes, monitor functional test yields, and suggest corrective actions and cost reductions. 
  • Intercommunicate with Engineering on all related issues. 
  • Provide training to manufacturing operations for all released or modified test processes. 
  • Provide periodic work status updates electronically to company management.
  • BS degree or higher in relevant field of study. 
  • Experience in using Git/Gerrit for code management. 
  • Solid knowledge with almost 2 years of experience in using Python, PyQT and object-oriented Python. 
  • Ability to read schematics and troubleshoot to component level. 
  • Experience in a test engineering environment 
  • Knowledge of manufacturing process for PCB and functional test. 
  • Experience using Jira and Test Management for Jira or equivalent. 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills 
  • Self-starter, capable of working independently as well as building strong cross-functional relationships.
